Events announced for the first half of 2024!
January 2024- new for next month
✨ We’re very excited to be bringing you something new next month. ✨
Join us on Sunday 11th February for a Sunday Social Breakfast.
Home cooked Breakfast baps available, along with tea, coffee and and hot chocolate between 9-11am.
Come along on your own, or with friends and family. You could even combine it with your morning dog walk. You can be sure of a super warm welcome from us and you can feel good that you’re helping support a local cause.
All funds raised will go towards our hall running costs- we’re trying so hard to not raise our prices for hirers as we know that has a knock on effect for local groups and clubs.
So come along and join us for a bacon or sausage bap, a hot drink and some friendly chatter.
Please help us to spread the word by giving this a share!
Thanks 🍳 🥓 ☕️

Yard Sales and Scarecrow Festival 2023
Over 60 yards sales signed up and 13 scarecrows for our annual Yard Sale and scarecrow festival this year. The sun shone, and although it was a bit TOO hot, people turned out to bagsy a bargain. We had record numbers of votes in the scarecrow voting booth this year, yet only 2 votes separated the winner and 2nd place! It was a lovely community day. Thanks to all who took part!

Fete 2023 – what a lovely day!
Villagers turned out in flocks to this year’s Village Fete, organised by the Village Hall and friends. With a fun dog show, judged by Mel from Turner’s Funerals- who took his role very seriously with face painted, and armed with lollipops for all human entrants and sausages for the dogs. The Best Sausage catcher category provided lots of laughs all round. We were treated to wonderful entertainment and we welcomed the Phoenix Pipes and Drums for the first year which everyone enjoyed. The BBQ sizzled, the drinks flowed and the tea tent broke records! Thanks to everyone who attended on the day. We raised lots of cash for the village hall running costs. A special thanks go to the team of helpers who gave up their time on the day. Large events like this are impossible without you- so thanks so much!

July 2022: EAST HARLING FETE RETURNS FOLLOWING THE COVID PANDEMIC
The village turned out in force to our traditional village fete on July 3rd. We enjoyed live music dancing, karate and even a dog show, and we had a record number of stall holders including many from the village organisations. The beer flowed, the bbq sizzled and had a queue all day and the tea and cake stall sold a record amount of strawberries and cream, cakes and hot drinks. What a tremendous day we had. Thank you to everyone who came and supported our fete and a big thank you to all our teams of helpers. We couldn’t have done it without you! We are happy to report that we raised over £3500 on the day. Thank you!

June 20200: JUBILEE CANDLE LIT SUPPER
On 3rd June 2022 the Harling Old School Village Hall hosted a supper for residents to celebrate our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The decorations and the food were enjoyed by nearly 80 people Everyone agreed it was a fantastic evening and a delightful way to express our thanks to the Queen for her long years of dedication and service to the country. The Hall committee worked very hard to ensure the event was a success but would like to thank the many other people who helped on the day.
